Youth and Facilities

I am committed to more funds to upgrade recreational and sporting, facilities. I will promote the Views of youth and encourage team involvement.
I remain committed to the construction of a fully accessible Skate Park on Public land in Mt Evelyn. A new site has been selected in line line with this criteria.

Responsible Economic Management

In plain terms I will make sure rare payers get value for their money in capital works projects. I am against the unnecessary waste of council monies.

Planning

Planning approvals will be completed in a much more timely fashion. This will be my top priority. Council has already embarked upon a program to remove any back log.

Families

Families are important to the social fabric of the Shire of Yarra Ranges. Without families we have no community. What is important to families will always be important to me.

Small Business

We will continue to run courses and improve access to Small Business programs I understand first hand the difficulties in the current economic climate as 1 have a background in small business.

Seniors

The Shire of Yarra Ranges has an aging population which must be catered for. We must provide for more opportunities for Council to supply more support networks and housing needs which will mean loved ones can remain in their homes.

Environment

I have always stated that we have a unique environment in the Shire of Yarra Ranges. All development needs to be of an appropriate nature that does not impact on what we hold dear in our Shire. The indigenous bushland is finely balanced, this must be cared for.

I feel privileged and honoured to have represented you the residents of the Shire of Yarra Ranges these past 3 years and look forward to another opportunity to represent you in the future.
